It is no secret that adding vegetable purees and whipping cream to soap makes for a luxuriously moisturizing bar that lathers beautifully. We added organic tomato and cucumber purees to these bars, along with fresh cow's cream from a local dairy. We also hand-picked corn from St. Peter's Abbey near my hometown and made cornmeal from it. The cornmeal makes the soap scrubby and also complements the tomato aromas in the most lovely way. French Red Clay was used for colour, as well as for the numerous skin benefits it provides.
